Times Square and PhotoSynth

Just discovered on web. PhotoSynth. (Ah, Times Square...I miss you). Please note I have not created these myself - I've simply embedded them here to use as a discussion topic.

This program, available through Microsoft Live Labs (http://photosynth.net/default.aspx) allows you to take a series of perspective photos and links them to create a three-dimensional experience of a space.

Imagine stepping onto a construction site. Taking 40-80+ snapshots, then letting the PhotoSynth tie them all together.

Here you can see it being used to show the setting of a wood roof truss.

My first trial of this will follow shortly.
